Lochbay is located on the beautiful Waternish penisula on the Isle of Skye and makes an ideal base to explore the Isle of Skye with attractions such as Dunvegan Castle and Trumpan Church only a short drive away. On the peninsula there are several coastal walks from which you can enjoy spectacular views of the headlands and islands as well as the local wildlife.
24 Lochbay overlooks the Minch and the Outer Hebrides. The cottage is only a ten minute walk from the village of Stein and the seafront. The original house was built in 1910 and has just been renovated and extended to a very high standard.
The spacious entrance hall offers a great place to leave muddy boots after exploring the peninsula! Inside there is a very well equipped kitchen with a 5 ring gas hob and double oven, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a large dining room table with 6 seats for everyone to share family meals.
The lounge is cosy with a log burner, TV with Freeview, DVD player and sofa’s to curl up on. WiFi is available throughout Lochbay at no extra charge.
Upstairs there are two generous double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Each room has a TV and ample storage for clothes and luggage. One of the double bedrooms and one twin have en-suite bathroom facilities with a walk-in shower, W.C. and wash hand basin. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over bath, W.C. and wash hand basin.
Outside there is a large car park for up to 3 vehicles to use. There is a decking area with picnic table, the perfect place to watch the world go by and enjoy watching the sun setting over the Outer Hebrides! A friendly and relaxed atmosphere awaits you at Lochbay.
Please note: the owner has an apartment at the rear of the property. The owner also has a very friendly brown collie called Dude who may be at the apartment
